Sharing Human Stories
Khaleel first began his documentary journey in high school with a student documentary focusing on the homeless demographics of Simcoe County. Since completing post-secondary school he has re-invested his career into developing documentary films and telling unique stories of our community.
His first feature-length film, Twenty Years by the Bay, went on to win best documentary (Canada) at the Brampton International Film Festival and was screened at several other festivals in Ontario. Live Wire: The Art of James Paterson (dir. Ben Frisch), the most recent project he edited, won 2nd place at the Barrie Film Festival Shorts Competition.
He now has a new docu-series in development and is working on two other projects in post-production.
